If you wish for someone to visit you in your home for conversation, prayer or Holy Communion, please contact the church office at 582.3504.
Dear Beaver Valley family,
As you know, we no longer have a visitation minister but we still have approximately 20 family members who are considered “shut-ins.” For many different reasons they are unable to join us on Sunday for church services. We now have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in this world by accepting the call to minister to these souls.
There are easy guidelines to follow and these visits would involve serving communion once a month, at your convenience. Communion kits are available, as well as a guide to take with you once you have made contact with your church family member. I have had the privilege of serving in this capacity in the past and can say that I have felt blessed to be able to serve BVLC in this manner.
These visits really do not require a huge expenditure of time or effort – just a heart for serving others. The rewards are immeasurable. Mother Teresa once said, “We cannot all do great things, but we can all do small things with great love.” Please prayerfully consider joining me in reaching out to those whose lives can be made easier by our service to them.
Depending on the response, we can get together some evening to discuss what is involved, go over information packets, and allocate visitation duties. I can be reached at (605) 757‑6287 after 5 pm. You can leave a message if necessary. I know we can meet this need. Flood my answering machine with calls! God bless you and our wonderful church family.
In Jesus’ service,
Joan Arnott
